In amongst the grit and life of Aotearoa New Zealand’s backcountry, this dragonfly stood out. Flying in to land on his bespoke helipad, this kapokapowai (Uropetala carovei) comes in to check us out and keep a steady eye on us before returning to the bush from whence he came.
